Learning & Wellbeing Faculty
At Kanahooka High School, our Learning & Wellbeing Team is dedicated to ensuring that every student feels safe, supported, and valued. We believe that when students are nurtured physically, emotionally, and socially, they are better equipped to reach their full academic and personal potential.
Our team provides comprehensive support by working closely with students, families, staff, and external organisations such as Headspace, Top Blokes, and Careway's. We take a proactive approach to student wellbeing, fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and positive mental health.
We also play a vital role in learning support, ensuring students with disability and additional learning needs receive personalised assistance. Through collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals, we help students navigate school transitions, access individual support, and develop strategies for success in and beyond the classroom.
Additionally, we run a Breakfast Club five days a week, providing students with a nutritious start to the day. This initiative is supported by our amazing staff volunteers, helping to foster a sense of community and wellbeing within our school.
We support and empower students to become resilient, confident, and engaged learners who can connect, succeed, and thrive.
