CAPA offers...
In Creative And Performing Arts (CAPA), students discover a variety of art forms through a study of Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.
Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.
Students must study 100 hours of both Music and Visual Arts during Stage 4.
In Stage 5, students may opt to further develop their CAPA skills by selecting a 100 or 200 hour course of study in Visual Arts, Photography, Dance, Drama and Music.
When reaching Stage 6 and deciding on their HSC Course of study, students interested in going to University may select the ATAR Courses of Music, Dance, Drama and Visual Art. They have an opportunity to further develop their knowledge and skills both in practical components as well as their ability to respond and write short and extended responses, assisting students in all facets of HSC and University studies in the future.
For those not seeking an ATAR, CAPA has Visual Design and Photography to offer students keen to pursue a practical subject that they have found an interest, pleasure and skill in.
Fun, practical learning while pursuing high educational student outcomes is what CAPA does best!
